that have withered before their time
Cupid's Advice
a tender heart laid out on display
it’s owner will rule that day
as they’ve learned a harsh lesson
from losing due to passion over glasses of wine
and yet there is really nothing left to say
once the onsets of rancor and ugliness are at bay
this is merely the price to pay
for that one chance at finding a love most sublime
